Chinese artists picture Egypt in their paintings
An exhibition featuring six Chinese women painters’ works was held in the Egyptian Embassy in China on Tuesday.
Ink paintings showcased works of Xie Lifang, Luo Ying, Li Daimei, Zhao Yi, Xu Qiping and Huang Huan, who got inspiration from their experience in Egypt in April where they held an exhibition of their paintings and a workshop in Cairo from April 19 to 24.
With the support of the cultural ministers of both countries, they visited Egypt in April and held an exhibition of their paintings and a workshop in Cairo from April 19 to 24.
Antiquities ministry launches int’l replica exhibit
An exhibition featuring replicas of ancient Egyptian antiquities will tour Japan by the end of 2016, the antiquities ministry announced in a statement Friday.
Under the title of “The Activities of the Egyptian Week Festival in Japan,” the 18 day-long exhibit will be held in Japan’s cities of Tokyo and Osakatake, said the statement.
“The exhibition will feature 150 replicas of King Tutankhamun collection in addition to a number of archaeological and scientific publications and books all produced by the Ministry of Antiquities,” Amr El-Tibi, Executive Director of the Archaeological Replicas Unit at the Ministry of Antiquities explained.
Nile Troupe for Folk Instruments to perform at Beit Al Sehemi Sun.
The Nile Troupe for Folk Instruments will perform Upper Egyptian folk music and dances on Sunday at Beit Al-Sehemi, Al Ahram reported.
The show will start at 07:30 p.m. Cairo local time.
