Ajayi Completes Al Ahly Move

Nigerian U-23 international, Junior Ajayi has joined Egyptian side Al Ahly from CS Sfaxien of Tunisia, on a four year deal worth $2.5m, Youm7 reported Saturday.

The Nigerian international started his career in Nigerian side 36 Lion FC, before joining CS Sfaxien last summer for an undisclosed fee.

Ajayi is Ahly’s fifth signing of the summer following the arrival of Mohamed El-Shenawy, Marwan Mohsen, Ali Maaloul and Mido Gaber.


Sobhi in Stoke squad for Hamburg friendly

Stoke manager Mark Hughes has named new signing Ramadan Sobhi in Stoke City’s 20-man squad for their pre-season friendly against Hamburg SV in Germany this weekend, KingFut reported.

Sobhi is set to make his first appearance for The Potters since signing from Egyptian League Champions Al Ahly in preparation for the Premier League season which is set to begin in less than two weeks.


Bafana to take on Egypt in Nelson Mandela Challenge

Bafana Bafana are set to face The Pharaohs of Egypt in September, in the 22nd Edition of the Nelson Mandela Challenge, according to South African media reports.

Egypt and South Africa will be meeting for the third time in the competition, with the match scheduled to take place on September 6, 2016 at 19h00 at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto.


Elneny assists as Arsenal put 8 past Viking

Mohamed Elneny assisted the opening goal and played 70 minutes in Arsenal’s pre-season match against Norweigan club Viking FK.

The midfielder started the game in a double midfield pivot with Francis Coquelin and just behind Santi Cazorla and was very active throughout the match.
