Parliament discusses Egyptians’ mistakes at Rio Olympics

A parliamentary committee has discussed with the head of the Egyptian mission to the Rio Olympics “mistakes and non honorable appearances” that took place by some players.

An Egyptian shooter called Hamada Talaat has raised the Saudi flag, causing a dispute and angry on social media, and the shirt of a Judo player did not have Egypt’s flag, which resulted in the dismissal of his coach.


Egypt’s embassy in Brazil celebrates Olympic mission

The Egyptian embassy in Brazil held a party celebrating the Egyptian Olympic mission participating in 2016 Rio Olympics; the ceremony was attended by Minister of Sports Khaled Abdel Aziz and the head of the mission Hisham Katab.


Al-Ahly lost 1.8 mln EGP after Cairo derby loss

Al-Ahly has lost 1,860,000 EGP after losing the Cairo derby to Zamalek SC Monday, Youm7 reported.

Zamalek SC won the Cairo Derby after beating Al-Ahly 3-1.

The winner will receive 1.5 million EGP from the Egyptian Football Federation.

Al-Ahly would have received $30K from Sporta Store, the sponsor for Ahly shirts, if it won the match.


Martin Jol to submit detailed report on Ahly loss in Cairo derby

The board of directors of Al-Ahly Club requested a detailed report from Coach Martin Jol including the reasons of the team’s loss in Cairo derby Monday.


Egyptian shooter qualifies to semi-final at Rio Olympics –

Egyptian shooter Ahmed Kamar earned a spot in the semi-final at the Rio Olympics after it hit 119 of a possible 125 targets, according to Kingfut website.
