Egypt restores 45 antiquities from France after 6 yrs of negotiations
Egypt will restore a total of 44 archeological antiquities and a painting from France during the current month; Youm7 quoted Shaaban Abdel Gawad, the general supervisor of the Antiquities Recuperation Department.
Abdel Gawad said that the restoration comes after nearly six years of negotiations and legal procedures between both countries over the antiquities that date back to different ages of Egypt’s old civilization, after nearly six years of negotiations.
Restoration works to begin at Shennawy Palace after 8-yr closure
Islamic and Coptic monuments department at the Ministry of Antiquities will begin restoration works at the Shennawy Palace in Mansoura governorate within the next few days, Youm7 reported.
The ministry is planning to re-open the palace as a museum, after it has been closed for eight years.
33% rise in number of Ukrainian tourists visiting Egypt
The number of Ukrainian tourists flocking to Egypt has increased by 33 percent during the period from January to June, compared to the same period last year, the head of the International Tourism sector Mohamed Abdel Gabar told Youm7.
He added that Ukraine has become one of the biggest four exporting tourists to Egypt.
Sharm el-Sheikh receives 1,200 tourists in past 24 hrs
Sharm el-Sheikh Airport received 14 Egypt Air flights carrying more than 1,200 tourists of different nationalities over the past 24 hours, as part of a national initiative to promote domestic tourism, according to Youm7.
Aug.13: Violin course for beginners to begin in Cairo
A course to train beginners to play violin will start Aug. 13 at Bab 18 Art Space in Heliopolis district, Cairo, according to De Cairo website.
The course duration is four weeks, and the fees: 380 EGP.
