Al Azhar condemns killing of New York Imam, his assistant

Islamic Sunni Institute if Al-Azhar has strongly condemned killing of Mosque Imam and his assistant in Saturday in the daylight in New York’s street near Queen Mosque, Youm7 reported Al-Azhar statement Sunday.

Azhar said that Killing is rejected and forbidden by all religions, calling for providing necessary protection for all worship places.


Sisi meets with Yemen PM

President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi and Prime Minister Sherif Ismail will meet Monday Yemeni Prime Minister Ahmed Obeid bin Daghr and a high-profiled delegation, who arrive in Egypt Sunday to discuss ways of enhancing the bilateral relations and the latest developments in his country, youm7 reported Saturday.

Daghr will send Sisi a message from Yemeni President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi.


Lawsuit calls to annul reconciliation deal between Hussein Salem, government

Chairperson of the Social Justice Party Mahmoud Farghal Omran has filed a lawsuit before the Administrative Court, calling for suspension of implementing reconciliation deal between the government and fugitive business tycoon Hussein Salem.

Omran added that Salem paid “little” amount money for reconciliation comparing to his “real fortune.”

On August 2, Salem paid 5.7 billion EGP to reconcile with the government as he was charged with emblazing public money. The government has estimated his fortune at 7 billion EGP.


Army personnel participates in ‘O My Beautiful Country’

A total of 50 military soldiers and conscripts have participated in a cleaning campaign called “O My Beautiful Country” in al-Wadi al-Dadid (New Valley) governorate, Youm7 reported Sunday.

The campaign will last to September 8 in squares of Dakhla, Kharga, and Frafra cities, said Wadi Gadid governor Mahmoud Ashmawy.


Russian delegations arrives in Egypt Monday to check airport security measures

Chairperson of the Red Sea Tourism Investment Association Hossam al-Shaeir said that a Russian delegation of six experts in airport securities will arrive Monday in Egypt in a five-day visit, Youm7 reported.

The delegation will be updated on the security measures of Egyptian airport, in light of the two countries negotiations to resume the suspended Russian flights to Egypt.

Following the downfall of Russian passenger plane that crashed in central Sinai late October 2015 few minutes after taking off from Sharm el Sheikh Airport, Moscow has imposed a travel ban to all Egyptian airports. President Sisi announced that “terrorists” have downed the plane to strain relations between both countries.
