Saladin Citadel Festivals kick off Wednesday

Ministers of Culture and Antiquities Helmi al Nimnim and Dr. Khalid Al-Anani, respectively, will open Wednesday events of the 25 round of Festivals of Saladin Citadel, which will last for 17 days, Youm7 reported Monday.

 

UN organizes ‘One Humanity’ marathon on Aug. 19 in Cairo

The United Nations and its partners will organize a 5Km marathon under the banner of ‘One Humanity’ and call for global solidarity with the more than 130 million people around the world who are affected by conflict and disaster, according to a statement from the UN Cairo Office Monday.

The marathon will be organized on August 19 at 7:00 am. It will start at the Island of Zamalek in Downtown Cairo. Assembly point will be in front of Imperial boat.

Restoration works in Cairo Citadel almost complete

Ministry of Antiquities is almost finish development and restoration works in all the archeological sites and museums in Cairo Citadel, particularly the Egyptian National Military Museum, Youm7 reported Monday.

 

Aug. 16-17: Omar Khairat concert in Bibliotheca Alexandria

Egyptian pianist Omar Khairat will play a concert, with Bibliotheca Alexandria (BA) Orckestra at 4th Bibliotheca Alexandrina Summer Festival on Aug. 16 and 17 at 8:00 p.m.
