Driver stops train to buy sweet potatoes

A video went viral on social media showing that an Egyptian train driver has stopped the train and get out buying sweet potatoes from a farm, locates along the railway, Youm7 reported Monday.

The train was heading from coast city of Damietta to Nile Delta’s Tanta. The driver act stirred anger of the passengers.

Death toll of road accident in Cairo rises to 22 people

The death toll of a road accident on Mit Ghamr Road in Cairo has risen to 22 people, Youm7 reported Monday evening. Eleven other people were injured.

The accident took place when one of the wheels of a microbus exploded causing the vehicle to deviate and crashed into a light post on the road.

 

 

Married woman jailed for selling her illegal infant to spend on lover

Egyptian authorities have extended detention of a married woman for 15 day in jail pending investigations over selling their illegal newborn child for 1,800 EGP (around US$202) to spend on her lover, Youm7 reported Tuesday.

 

Egypt open production line for 14-carat gold

Minister of Supply Khaled Hanai will hold a press conference Tuesday to announce about opening new line to produce 14-carat gold in Egyptian market, Youm7 reported.  Egyptian market has 24, 21, and18 carat gold, which sharply hiked in the past few weeks amid of the dollar crisis that Egypt faces.

 

Water outage in Mohandessin for building 4th line of Cairo Metro

The Holding Company for Water and Wastewater announced Tuesday that some district in Giza’s Mohandessin will see water outage Wednesday due to diversion in water network for building the fourth line of Cairo Metro, Youm7 reported.

The outage will last for six hours starting at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday in Sudan Street to July 26 Street, Gamait al-Dewal street, Alihutah Agouza area ,  Mahasen El Shazly street  – Al-Nabawi al-Mohandis.
