Parliament approves new water, sanitation projects in governorates

Parliament committee has approved a recommendation to carry out new water and sanitation projects across governorates, Youm7 reported.

Among the projects are the replacement and renovation of drinking water pipes in some impoverished villages in Beheira governorate.


Parliament discusses work ban to over age 60

The Manpower sub-committee at the parliament will resume its meetings Monday to discuss draft law to impose work ban to those exceeding 60 years old at public sector and governmental-run facilities.


Butane gas cylinder crisis on parliament radar

Member of Parliament Ghada Sakr has submitted an urgent statement on the lack of butane gas cylinders crisis in Damietta, Youm7 reported.

She said that “the price of a half-filled cylinder has reached 25 EGP.”


MP: gov’t efforts to attract investments ‘not enough’

Undersecretary of Energy and Environment sub-committee at the parliament Hamada Ghalab said that “government’s efforts to attract large investment to Egypt are slow and insufficient.”
