Egyptian, British FM talk U.K. flight resume to Sharm el-Sheikh

Egypt’s Foreign Affairs Minister Sameh Shokry met Thursday with his British counterpart, where they discussed the resuming of U.K. flights to Sharm el-Sheikh city.

Following a Russian plane crash in Sinai last October, the British government has halted direct flights between its airports and Sharm el-Sheikh Airport, from which the ill fated jet took off. A total of 224 passengers and crew reportedly killed.

 

218 prisoners pardoned after serving half sentences: official

A total of 218 prisoners have been pardoned per a presidential decree that releases inmates who served half of their prison terms, Youm7 reported.

Hassan el-Sohagy, head of Prisons Authority Department, said that a committee has been studying prisoners’ cases to determine those eligible to be released.

 

 

Sisi arrives in Cairo after participation in UN General Assembly

President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi arrived in Cairo after his participation in the UN General Assembly in New York City, Youm7 reported.

Sisi has paid four-day visit for NYC.
