Egypt’s FM participates in African FMs meeting at UN

Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry is set to participate in a coordinating meeting of foreign ministers of African states members in the UN Security Council.

The countries participating in the meeting are: Senegal, Angola and Egypt, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York City.

Cairo Abdeen Court will begin investigations Saturday into charges drawn against a number of members of Ahly Ultras accusing them of storming the headquarters of the Ahly SC and inciting riots.

 

Illegal Immigration law punishes agents not migrants: MP

The head of the Parliamentary bloc of Wafd Party said that the Illegal Immigration draft Law is under study and imposes punishments to all those involved in the illegal practice.

He said that the groups or agents who are facilitating the practice are the ones who will be punished not the unregistered migrants.

 

Ministry choses “bad timing” for road maintenance: MP

Member of Parliament Sameh el-Sayeh said that maintenance works at roads and bridges should be carried out at mid-night to prevent traffic jams in the morning.

Parliamentarians criticized “bad timing” chosen by transport ministry officials for conducting restoration works at bridges, leading to partial closure of vital roads.
