Egypt may allocate Hurgada Airport’s Terminal 2 for Russian passengers

The Russian delegation, which is visiting Egypt to check the security measures in Egyptian airports before resuming the Russian flights, has asked to allocate Terminal 2 of Hurghada Airport for only the Russian passengers, Youm7 reported officials at the airport Wednesday.

The first Russian flight to Egypt will resume in October after one-year hiatus following the crash of Russian plane that downed over Central Sinai, leaving lives of more than 220 people.

 

Sisi inaugurates Gamal Nasser Museum

President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi inaugurated Gamal Nasser Museum on Wednesday in the 46th anniversary of the death of Late President Nasser, Youm7 reported.

The Museum has been developed in light of the government’s initiative of “revival of New Egypt’s Heritage”.

 

3 policemen, civilian killed in North Sinai

Three police conscripts and a civilian were killed when militant group attacked their convoy in Arish city of restive North Sinai.

Eye-witnesses told Youm7 that a group of militants opened fire at the policemen’s car, leaving them dead. The dead bodies were transported to Arish Hospital.

 

Egypt’s FM meets Syrian opposition delegation in Cairo

Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry will meet with a delegation from the Syrian opposition figures on Wednesday in Cairo, according to a statement from the Egyptian Ministry.

The Syrian delegation will discuss the latest development in Syria, particularly after media reports claimed that new round of peace negotiations would be held in Geneva.

 

Al Azhar Imam meets with Bahraini Monarch

Al Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed al Tayeb met with Bahraini Monarch Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on Wednesday, discussing the ways and mechanisms to disseminate the peaceful and moderate culture, as well as efforts exerted by the Council of Elders of the Muslims in order to promote a culture of peace and coexistence and acceptance of others, Youm7 reported.

Tayebwill give a speech to the Arab and Islamic nations, emphasizing the need for unity and alignment, renouncing division and discord among people.
