Sisi’s office announces first national conference for youth
President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi’s office announced that a national conference will be held for the first time for the youth, under the auspices of the President, Youm7 on Monday.
The conference will last for three days and be held in Red Sea’s Sharm el Sheikh city, a presidential media officer added.
On Sept. 14, 2015, President Sisi launched the Presidential Leadership Program (PLP) Sunday, during the Universities Youth Week held in Suez Canal University from Sept. 11 to 17, 2015.
Two metro stations to operate with solar-power energy
Cairo Metro Company announced that two metro stations have been equipped with solar-power devices for producing energy required for metro operation, Youm7 reported on Monday.
The devices will be equipped in Al- Demerdash and Ghamra stations. The devices would produce 15 kilowatt per hour.
Two terrorist attacks thwarted in North Sinai
Two terrorist attacks have been foiled by security forces in restive North Sinai of Egypt, Youm7 reported North Sinai Security Directorate’s statement on Monday.
Bomb squad managed to defuse two roadside bombs in the Coastal Road and in Arish near a police station, the statement added.
2 policemen arrested over helping smugglers runaway with stolen antiquities
Two policemen were arrested over involvement in helping three smugglers to runaway with stolen antiquities and cash in Ismailia governorate, Youm7 reported.
Investigations showed that two policemen shot at the smugglers’ car, detained them and then asked them for money (2,800 EGP) to set them free.
However, the three smugglers were caught at a police checkpoint.
