Car bomb attack in Cairo’s Nasr City; no casualties

An explosion took place in Cairo’s Nasr City district Friday due to a car bomb attack allegedly attempted to target a judge, Youm7 quoted anonymous security sources.

Security sources told Youm7 that the attack occurred near Ahly Club, adding that it failed to target Judge Ahmed Abu el-Fatouh.

Civil protection forces headed to the explosion site along with firefighters.

No casualties have been reported as a result of the blast. No groups claimed responsibility for the attack.

 

Egypt, Jordan begin military training program Saturday

A number of Egyptian armed forces left Friday for Jordan to participate in joint training program called “Aqaba 2016” with their Jordanian counterparts, Youm7 reported.

The training program is set to begin Nov.5 and last until Nov. 25 with the participation of navy and air forces.

 

Libya arrests Egyptian over forged identity

Anti-illegal immigration forces in Libya have arrested an Egyptian national accused of faking his identity for a missing Libyan citizen, Youm7 reported Friday.
