An Egyptian Governmental source, told youm7 Friday, that the curfew may be extended for a long time especially after the assassination attempt to the Interior Minister Mohammed Ibrahim yesterday, in addition to the continuation of violent actions and explosions carried out by the Muslims Brotherhood since toppling ex-president Mohamed Morsi.

The source added that the curfew will remain as it is currently (starting from 23:00 to 6:00 AM) daily, except on Friday, starting (19:00 to 6:00AM) the morning of the next day.

It was reported on Thursday morning that Interior Minister Mohamed Ibrahim survived an assassination attempt in front of his house at Nasr city district, where a car exploded close to his convoy, led to 21 injuries, and the suspect person for the incident died on Friday in the hospital suffering injury.

Investigations are being conducted by prosecution to clarify whether it’s a suicide attack or faraway explosion, and which side is responsible for the incident.
