A Jihadi group, in Sinai Peninsula, claimed responsibility for the assassination attempt on Interior Minister, Major General Mohamed Ibrahim last Thursday.

A statement for the group calling itself Ansar Bayt al-Maqdes (Supporters of Jerusalem) went viral on Jihadi websites Sunday, declaring the news.

The group said in the statement “God Almighty has enabled your brothers at Supporters of Jerusalem group to break the security circle of the Interior Minister, Mohamed Ibrahim in a martyrdom operation carried out by one of God’s brave soldiers, and the Minister has seen death with his own eyes, but everyone’s life ends when god wills, and for your information the worst is coming.”
