Director Magy Morgan won the best director award for her film “Asham” in the Malmo Festival for Arabian Cinema in Sweden, which finished its third rotation last Sunday.
“Asham” presents six stories about ambition, disappointment and hope, set in a troubled Cairo that is on the verge changing itself.
Morgan received three awards at the international cinema festival.
“Asham” is the director’s first feature-length film, after work with short films and documentaries. This film also marks her debut as an author.
