Thomas Bach named new International Olympic Committee chief

German Thomas Bach was elected as a chief of the International Olympic Committee Tuesday in the Argentine capital of Buenos Aires.

Bach of – 59-years-old- became the first Gold medal winner in the games up to this job.

Also the members of the the International Olympic Committee voted on Sunday to back wrestling to the Olympic program in versions 2020 and 2024 after he received 49 votes superior to baseball and squash.
