765 thousand tourists visited Egypt during July 2013 which is 24.5% decline Compared to the same period last year, According to Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics.
“The number of nights spent by tourists is 6.8 million nights during July 2013 spent in hotels compared to 11.4 million ones during July 2012, which means a decline of 40.1%,”the Agency added in après release.
Western Europe had the largest share in the number of nights followed by Eastern Europe and Middle Eas90 thousand tourists came to egypt during July 2013 compared to 218 thousand tourists during July 2012, a decline of 58.6%.
Nights spent by Arab countries touristsare 1.6 million during July 2013 compared to 3.3 millions during July 2012, a decline of 50.2%.
The average number of nights spent by each tourist is 8.7 nights during July 2013 compared to 12.4 nights during July 2012.
That reduction may come after the last emergency events in Egypt after 30th of June revolution.
The most popular places are visited by tourists are: Luxor, Aswan, Sharm El-Shiekh, Hurghada. In adition to Khan El Khalili and other old Islamic mosques and churches.
