South Giza Prosecution sentenced today 114 members of Muslim Brotherhood, to remain imprisoned for 15 days pending investigations, on storming and burning faculty of Engineering, Cairo University, case after dispersing Al-Nahda sit-in.
The detainees were accused of joining militant groups, terrorizing citizens, possession of firearms and ammunition without license; obstruct the law and resisting authorities.
Investigations which lasted for 22 hours showed that; detainees had fired bullets on the security forces and set fire to some buildings of Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University. Some detainees said that they were defeating the legitimacy of former president Morsi after ousting him by amilitary forces, others said that they didn’t participate in demonstrations, they were just returning from work or just standing in the place to watch what’s happening when police arrested them.
Prosecution has delivered of 4 tenagers under 20 years old, to their families, and released a lady.
