Heikal: setting my house on fire was ordered by Rabia leaders

Famous Egyptian Writer, Mohamed Hassanein Heikal, stated that the attack on his house, in Berkash village, was due to orders by leaders of Rabea Eladawya protesters. Heikal noted, in statement to CBC, Egyptian TV station, that the attack coincided with clashes and burning churches and some mosques.

Egyptian writer said that the Muslim Brotherhood planned for chaos across the country after the dispersing their sit-ins. “Burning my house shows viciousness”, he added.

The attack on The Famous Writer’s house happened last month, destroying his library which included hundreds of books and a large number of rare documents.
