Military forces arrested 3 alleged terrorists in a raid Saturday in Sheikh Zuweid, Sinai, according to security sources.
The sources also told Youm7 that officers seized anti-plane missiles as well as developed weapons and ammunition when they made the arrests.
Border guard forces continue their operations in North Sinai to “eliminate the terroristic movements,” said the sources.
Also on Saturday, another security source told Youm7 that the forces in Sinai managed to thwart an attempted car bomb attack on an army unit in south Arish, near the airport.
The Sinai has seen an increase in terrorist activity since the forced dispersal of sit-ins at Rabaa al-Adaweya and Nahda Squares. One recent attack against the Egyptian military intelligence building in south Sinai killed 6 soldiers.
