Security forces entered the town of Delga on Monday, two months after hard-line supporters of former president Mohamed Morsi had taken control of the Upper Egyptian village in the governorate of Minya.

The raid aimed to capture the assailants who took over the town, who face charges of inciting violence, destruction of Coptic churches, and attacking the Delga police station, according to Minya governor Salah Ziada.
