CAIRO: Head of Land Ports Authority Gamal Hegazy said they are preparing a general outline to introduce the idea of logistic areas and dry ports in Egypt. The authority is currently working on the preparation of this plan and will present a paradigm shift to push the national economy forward.
Hegazy told Youm7 that the authority is trying to finish this plan as fast as possible. This will coincide with the bill prepared to regulate establishment and management of dry docks and logistic areas. He said the first dry dock and logistic area will be in October 6 City on an area of 400 acres.
Hegazy said other areas allocated to establish logistic include cities of Damietta, Sohag, Ramadan 10, Borg al-Arab, al-Sadat, and Beni Suef.
