CAIRO: Attorney General Hesham Barakat decided on Friday to detain 39 persons accused of violence in Dalga village, and to investigate them for 15 days.

The decision follows the detainment of another 51 persons accused of violence in the village; a number of churches and Coptic-owned homes and businesses were attacked and burned in the past weeks.

Security officers raided the village on September 16, after almost two months of control by alleged militants who oppose the ouster of Former President Mohamed Morsi.
