CAIRO: Minister of Tourism Hisham Zaazou left Cairo on Sunday to Germany and France, to hold meetings with government officials and tour operators, travel agents and airlines, to request an end to travel warnings to Egypt.
The travel warnings were issued as a reaction to the mass protests on June 30 that resulted in the ouster of President Mohamed Morsi and street violence.
Zaazou has announced he is travelling to France after his meeting with the German Foreign Minister.
He said he would take advantage of the security report presented by the French delegation on Egyptian tourist areas to increase the number of French visitors to Egypt.
The minister said he would hold meetings with French tour operators and airlines to start flights to Luxor and Aswan in the coming period.
