CAIRO: Minister of Planning Ashraf al-Araby announced Sunday that financing, through states and international donor organizations, is the first priority on the ministry’s agenda.

The World Bank (WB) and Islamic Development Bank (IDB) are among the key donors, according to Araby, in press statements Sunday, noting that Arab-Gulf finance will be given priority in the upcoming period.

The minister further pointed to the importance of Prime Minister Hazem al-Beblawy’s visit to Saudi Arabia this week, and its great impact on the Egyptian economy.

Egypt has a great opportunity for international cooperation, he said, noting that coordination between the Ministries of Planning and International Cooperation has continuously been taken into account through financing the projects listed in the economic development plan.

The Ministry of Planning aims to implement the economic development and the stimulus packages aimed to boost the economy in the upcoming period.
