AMSTERDAM, Netherlands: The largest Coptic cultural festival in Europe will take place in the Coptic Cultural Center in Amsterdam on Tuesday. It will be headed by Arsani, Bishop of the Coptic Church in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.
Many public figures including the artist, Samir al-Iskandarani, writer Fatma Naout, former member of parliament Ehab Ramzy and the Egyptian painter Adel Naseef will participate in the Coptic festival entitled “Love for Egypt.”
Many Arab and foreign ambassadors will also be present, on top of them the Saudi, Kuwaiti, Jordanian and Russian ambassadors to the Netherlands.
One of the coordinators said Sunday that the festival would be the first of its kind in Europe. It will have nothing to do with politics and it will be dedicated to the love for Egypt and to those who appreciated Egypt during the hard times it has been going through, the coordinator added.
