GIZA: Security campaigns were launched in Kerdasa for the second day on September 20, in an effort to arrest those accused of participating in attacks on the police station, which claimed the lives of 11 officers and security personnel, including Gen. Mohamed Jabr and his deputy, Colonel Amer Abdul Maqsoud.
Security forces blocked Kerdasa’s entrances and exits routes prior to Friday prayers, following the procedures of the criminal prosecution. The streets were emptied, and forces blocked al-Shaeer Mosque, which is a few meters away from the police station that was attacked.
The security forces arrested four so far, and warned locals against using their balconies for fear of being targeted and injured.
