Chief of the Egyptian Social Democratic Party, Mohamed Abou el-Ghar, said that he supports the dissolution of any association working in violation of the constitution.
In a statement to Youm7, Abou el-Ghar added that he would also welcome the dissolution of Gamaa Islamiyya, an Egyptian Sunni Islamist movement, if the court found it necessary.
There have been several calls to dissolve the group, especially after its representative Osama Roushdy, the political advisor of the Building and Development Party, attended the International Conference of the Muslim Brotherhood yesterday, Sept. 25.
Abul Ghar added that the January 25 Revolution and protests June 30 would support such decisions since they demanded the law be respected.
The Cairo court issued a verdict last Monday, Sept. 23 ordering the dissolution of the Muslim Brotherhood, banning its activities and confiscating its assets.
