An underwater art exhibition and festival titled “Shapes and Colors” will be held from October 4-6 in al-Quseir, one of Egypt’s oldest Red Sea ports and tourist cities, and one of the world’s most popular diving spots.

The festival will include a landmark underwater photography contest, with a gallery held 10 meters below the sea, a navigation race, and a music concert held in al-Quseir’s Ottoman citadel.

The program is organized under the supervision of the Automobile and Touring Club of Egypt.

The Ministry of Tourism welcomes such initiatives, festivals and conferences because they promote and restore tourism in Egypt, said Minister of Tourism Hisham Zaazou in a statement to Youm7.
