CAIRO: The stock market’s shares collectively rose on Thursday due to Egyptian and Arab purchases. The market capital gained 2.2 billion EGP ($15.4 billion) to register 380.98 EGP compared to 378.73, Youm7 reported.
The main EGX30 index rose by 0.68 percent to register 5074 points, the small and medium shares EGX70 index rose by 0.17 percent to hit 488.78 points, and the broader EGX100 index rose by 1.01 percent to 816.4 points.
Egyptian and Arab investors tended to buy while foreign investors were inclined to sell. Egyptians net purchases reached 27.22 million EGP and Arabs 6.912 million EGP, while foreigners’ net selling reached 34.133 million EGP.
