CAIRO: After being suspended for two years over security concerns, the 17th National Film Festival is set to begin in November.

Organized by the Cultural Development Fund, the festival is to run from November 19 to 26.

Samir Seif, Chairman of the festival, said, “This year the festival will include feature films, documentaries and animated films produced in the past two years.”

National film festival was suspended for two years since the January 25 Revolution which led to the cancellation of many cultural events.

“This year’s festival will honor many Egyptian celebrities and symbols.” Seif added.
