CAIRO: The Arab Penal Reform Organization (APRO) has warned of an unprecedented spread of arms in Egypt.
Weapons have found their way to Egyptian youth, many of whom are not experienced with how to use them, APRO chairman Mohamed Zarae said Tuesday. They are using weapons recklessly and this constitutes a threat to society, Zarae warned.
Any faction that resorts to violence should be disenfranchised because its actions can very well lead to the killing of innocent people and destruction of state facilities, Zarae told a conference on the spread of weapons in Egypt.
He stressed the need to bring terrorists and those who conduct acts of violence to justice.
