Badr: There should be Arab coalition to fight terrorism in Arab countries

CAIRO: The deteriorated security status in Libya has its negative and direct impact on Egypt’s national security, Tamarod movement founder Mahmoud Badr said on Tuesday according to Youm7.

On his Facebook page, Badr called for an Arab coalition to fight terrorism in the Arab Spring countries. “There should be an Egyptian-Algerian joint role to put an end to the terrorist attacks targeting civilians in Libya,” he said.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Badr Abdel Atty said on Tuesday the masked men stormed a building resided by Egyptians and kidnapped eight people. The attackers then took them to one of Benghazi’s beaches and killed seven of them, according to the one abductees who managed to escape.

Egypt’s embassy in Tripoli and the consulate in Benghazi are boosting their efforts with the Libyan authorities to recover the corpses, Atty said.
