Brotherhood members clash with residents in Alexandria

ALEXANDRIA, Egypt: Clashes broke out on Friday between residents of Alexandria’s Sidi Gaber neighborhood and members of the Muslim Brotherhood during a demonstrations against the current ruling regime in Egypt.


Residents and Brotherhood members threw stones at each other as the residents attempted to disperse the demonstrations.
Head of Alexandria’s Investigations Authority Nasser al-Abd said in a statement that security forces managed to disperse the demonstration immediately after clashes started.


Brotherhood members organize weekly demonstrations on Friday in Egypt’s different governorates to express their protest against the ouster of Egypt’s former President Mohamed Morsi on July 3.
