CAIRO: The Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI) will hold a meeting Sunday with the new head of the Egyptian Tax Authority, Mustafa Abdel Kader, to discuss issues related to taxes imposed on industrial facilities.
During the meeting, FEI’s Tax Committee intends to review problems and obstacles facing manufacturers regarding taxes, such as counting sales tax on certain sectors including leather tanning, leather industries, and grains, head of the Tax Committee Mohamed el-Bahi told Youm7 Friday.
The meeting will also address the Value Added Tax (VAT), which the government intends to apply in the coming period, added Bahi.
Further, FEI plans to hold a conference to bring together representatives of all industrial chambers, the Ministry of Finance, and the Tax Authority to discuss the VAT, according to the head of Tax Committee.
