CAIRO: The ”Change and Be Changed” festival, organized by the Egyptian Organization for Human Rights and the Fahad Live Music Corporation, aims to change society’s perception of people with disabilities. It will be held at the Cairo International Stadium April 7.

The festival will include a concert, shows presented by people with disabilities, an exhibition for products and awareness seminars and conferences about disabilities.

The chairman of the Supreme Committee for Special Needs of the Egyptian Organization for Human Rights, Nabil Hashim, told Youm7 that people with disabilities are talented and have potential that people without disabilities do not have.

Hashim said they chose April 7 for the festival because it coincides with World Health Day.

World Health Day has been celebrated by the World Health Organization since it was founded in 1948. An important topic that health specialists are concerned with is selected each year to be highlighted that day.
