CAIRO: Egyptian Chamber of Tourism Establishments president Khaled el-Menawi said Saturday during a call with the CBC television channel that a number of European countries are warning their citizens against traveling to Egypt.
There is an alliance between a number of countries in the European Union and the U.S. since the June 30 events to put pressure on Egypt, Menawi said.
Menawi said the interim administration has failed to alleviate the issue, adding that an investigation of the February Luxor hot air balloon crash that resulted in many deaths was not released until recently.
He added that Egypt will not remain silent against the campaign, led by Germany, warning against visiting Egypt.
