CAIRO: Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab met with International Olympic Committee delegate Hassan Moustafa on Saturday to discuss the committee’s opinion about Egyptian sports, according to a statement.

The meeting was also attended by Minister of Local and Administrative Development Adel Labib and Khalid Abdel Aziz, who is now the Minister of Youth and Sports.

Sports in Egypt are experiencing conflict with international sports organizations. FIFA called upon the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) to suspend several sporting club elections until a new sports law is issued.

In a letter sent to the EFA, FIFA said the instructions have to be followed or there will be penalties, including freezing Egypt’s membership with FIFA.
