CAIRO: Writer and thinker Sayyid Al-Qemany said that a quote that states “Islam is suitable for every time and place” is incorrect, during a seminar on Saturday at the Free Egyptians Party headquarters.

Islam did not establish a state or a ruling system, as preacher Ali Abdel Raziq affirmed in his books, Qemany said. Islam came in the form of acts of worship not in the shape of a state as the Muslim Brotherhood and Salafi allegedly said, Qemany said.

Qemany has been accused of blasphemy, deconstructing Islam and atheism.
