CAIRO: Labor activist Kamal Khalil said in a message on his personal Facebook page late Saturday directed to Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab that workers do not care “if your parade consists of one car or many.”
“Workers do not care either if you are mineral water or from the tap, since all of these statements are for propaganda and advertising,” he continued.
Workers care about the implementation of final court verdicts to return companies to the public sector and improve industries like textile and steel because they were damaged by privatization policies, Khalil said.
Khalil further noted that workers are demanding that halted factories resume operations, and that their social conditions improve with fair salaries and better work terms.
