CAIRO: Presidential candidate Hamdeen Sabbahi met with the Egyptian Social Democratic Party on Sunday evening at the party headquarters to present his stance on the political situation and his vision for the upcoming presidential elections.
Sabbahi, also the president of the Popular Current Party, is asking for the Egyptian Social Democratic Party’s support in the elections, based on the concept of “alliance-seeking to achieve the goals of Jan. 25 and June 30,” his party spokesperson told Youm7 on Sunday.
He provided an outline for his presidential platform, detailing his strategies to develop the private and public sectors and protect personal freedoms, while assuring the crowd that all suggestions from different political forces will be taken into account to create a platform that reflects most demands, his party spokesperson said.
Sabbahi said he aims to create a “national partnership” that would review his platform by consulting with other parties, with a focus on social justice and economic development.
