CAIRO: Cairo Court of Appeals decided Monday that the Police Institute in Tora will have jurisdiction to rule on the request from Mohamed el-Beltagy and Safwat Hegazy that the judges in their trials on charges of spying and escaping from prison be replaced.

The Court had postponed hearing the request until the accused persons were present at the High Court but the Ministry of Interior informed the judges transferring the accused to Cairo was difficult due to security reasons.

Former President Mohamed Morsi and 35 leaders from Muslim Brotherhood are co-defendants in the same lawsuits.
