ASYUT, Egypt: Post office employees in Asyut continued their strike Monday for the second day in a row.

The postal workers are demanding the dismissal of the National Postal Authority chairperson and the implementation of the minimum wage in addition to the dismissal of all of the authority’s advisers.

Abdel Rahman Ahmed, head of the independent union for postal authority workers in Asyut, said “our first demand is the dismissal of the National Postal Authority chairperson for insulting workers in the media, then the implementation of the minimum wage in addition to the restructuring of wages, and the dismissal of all advisers.”
