CAIRO: Minister of Communication and Information Technology Atef Helmy met Monday with a delegation from Estonia headed by the deputy of the Estonian Ministry of Communication to boost mutual cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, Helmy confirmed Egypt’s keenness to exchange experiences with Estonia in the fields of digital technology, cyberspace security and electronic government services.
The Communication Ministry’s urgent challenge is to provide electronic government services and to improve their quality, said Helmy.
Helmy confirmed the importance of information technology in societal growth with regard to Estonia’s experiments in digital technology.
During the meeting, Noha Adel, the Egyptian minister’s assistant, signed a cooperation agreement with Tafi Kotka, the Estonian minister’s assistant, concerning several fields in digital technology.
