CAIRO: Ahmed Abu Hashima, owner of Egyptian Steel, denied rumors of having a joint business venture with imprisoned steel tycoon Ahmed Ezz, a Mubarak regime stalwart.

During an interview on Al-Hayat TV channel, Hashima said he had never met with Ezz and denied funding Tamarod, adding that “like any Egyptian” he “loves the country’s army” and wishes prosperity for Egypt.

Hashima also said Egyptian Steel had 1000 job openings in different factories which could help unemployed youths.
