CAIRO: Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab should dismiss some of the 70,000 government advisers, who earn salaries amounting to 18 billion (2.5 billion EGP), to provide unemployed youths with jobs, Salah al-Sayegh, a leading Wafd Party member, said Monday.

Sayegh called on the prime minister to work on achieving the roadmap by regaining security and “rooting out terrorism to attract tourism and improve the economy.”
