CAIRO: The mother of Zeina, a five-year-old girl who was murdered by two boys who had attempted to rape her last November in Port Said, told Youm7 Monday that Presidential Advisor for Women Affairs Sakina Fouad promised to discuss the possibility of amending Article 111 of the Child Law with President Adly Mansour.

A Port Said court had sentenced Zeina’s murderers – one 16 years-old, the other 17 –  to 15 and 20 years of jail respectively, the highest punishment allowed for those under 18, yet her family want a death penalty.

Zeina’s mother said Sakina scheduled a date to meet with her and listen to her complaints, after she claimed that the boys’ families threatened to kill her children if she does not waive the case.
