CAIRO: The Popular Current conducted a series of meetings with the political forces and parties on the establishment of the National Front, Popular Current Spokesperson Emad Hamdy told Youm7, Monday.
The National Front, which is intended as an electoral alliance between the revolutionary forces to run in the presidential and parliamentary elections, “carries the ideas and principles of the revolutions of January 25 and June 30,” Hamdy added.
Further, Hamdy stated that the alliance has been welcomed by the majority of parties.
“The Front aims to bring the revolution to the presidency, the parliament and the local councils,” he said, noting that it also aims to establish security, without affecting the democratic path.
Hamdy pointed out that the National Front will not include those who consider the January 25 Revolution to be a conspiracy, or even those who consider June 30 to be a coup.
