CAIRO: Minister of Foreign Affairs Nabil Fahmy headed to Rome Tuesday to attend an international conference about the conditions in Libya that will discussing methods of achieving the political and security stability.
Ministry spokesperson Badr Abdel Atty said Fahmy will visit the Vatican where he will meet Pope Francis as well as the prime minister and minister of foreign affairs of Vatican in the framework of the exchanged keenness to support the bilateral relations between the two sides and activate the dialogue between the religions.
Abdel Atty added Fahmy would also meet a number of ministers of foreign affairs on the sidelines of the international conference such as US and Russia.
He explained that these meetings will address the bilateral relations and number of regional and international issue of common interest including the conditions in Libya, the Palestinian issue, and the Syrian crisis.
